Other program services Part III line 31 The Nathan Hale Foundations mission is to unite people, communities and governments to work towards a common goal: the health and welfare of veterans and active duty troops and their families. The organization believes veterans needs should transcend any personal and political agenda, and the foundation aims to make the citizens of this nation aware of the personal, professional and financial hardships these brave men and women face. The Nathan Hale Foundation offers support on a number of levels offering direct services to veterans, food assistance and veterans hydroponic safety program. Through the foundations volunteer opportunities, the average American is able to make a difference and give back to their local heroes. The Foundations Three Harts Veterans farm will allow veterans and their families to participate in volunteer, peer to peer and family activities, stroll along walking trails, practice agricultural and hydroponic farming techniques, plant and harvest heirloom vegetables and herbs from seed, learn how to dry herbs, learn how to practice organic farming without pesticides seven days a week. Cookouts and family gatherings are offered weekly throughout the year at the farm. The farm provides a clean, safe and wholesome environment where veterans and families may enjoy each others comradeship. Three Harts Farm donates garden and hydroponic produce to local first reponders monthly.
