THE PRODUCE IS GIVEN TO THE SOCIETY FREE OF CHARGE, BUT THE SOCIETY MUST PAY FOR PACKAGING AND FREIGHT. FORM 990, PART VI, SECTION B, LINE 15 EACH YEAR, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS ESTABLISHES THE COMPENSATION FOR THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AS PART OF THE END OF YEAR PERFORMANCE REVIEW PROCESS. THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ALSO COLLECTS INFORMATION FROM THE AVAILABLE RESOURCES REGARDING NATIONAL STANDARDS OF COMPENSATION FOR ORGANIZATIONS OF SIMILAR SIZE AND BUDGET. THESE NATIONAL AVERAGES ARE USED TO DEVELOP THE SOCIETY'S COMPENSATION BRACKETS, BASED ON WHAT THE BUDGET AND FUNDING WILL ALLOW.
FORM 990, PART VI, SECTION C, LINE 19 THE SOCIETY'S GOVERNING DOCUMENTS, CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY, AND FINANCIAL STATEMENTS ARE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC UPON REQUEST AT NO COST. FINANCIAL INFORMATION IS ALSO PROVIDED ON THE SOCIETY'S WEBSITE AND THROUGH VARIOUS NONPROFIT WATCHDOG GROUPS.
