	The Association represents its members, including roughly 350 full-time teachers, by collectingbi-weekly dues from November through June, mainly through payroll deductions. Membership alsoincludes half-time teachers and instructional aides. Membership dues in turn are paid out to theMassachusetts Teacher Association (The MTA). The MTA assists the association in protecting itsmembers rights, through collective bargaining and arbitration negotiations, which theassociation alone could not financially accomplish. Members partake of Annual Conferences andmeet regularly to discuss professional matters.
