International Programs - The Organization partners with families and communities around the world to design and implement locally contextualized plans to overcome poverty by establishing sustainable access to critical resources such as clean water, nutritious food, basic healthcare, education, income-generating opportunities, child protection programs, and other essentials. One of the Organization's primary funding sources for this work is child sponsorship, through which the Organization partners with long-term individual child sponsors to empower and equip vulnerable children to attain physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The Organization is committed to strong program and financial management of grant awards to ensure that donor funds and non-cash assistance are used for their intended purposes. World Vision promotes full compliance and adoption of grant regulations, requirements, policies and best practices through the following: Grants Compliance Capacity Building which promote the comprehension of grant requirements, knowledge of best practices and hands-on experience with regulations and related policies as prerequisite for effective grant compliance. Efforts include a comprehensive internally developed certification program; risk assessments; field desk guides on high priority issues; web-based tools; start-up workshops; and field visits and coaching. Grant Performance and Reporting: World Vision actively manages programmatic and financial performance to ensure that activities managed directly by World Vision field offices as well as those activities managed by sub-recipient partners are implemented effectively. World Vision complies with all program and financial reporting as required by each donor. Policies and Manuals: World Vision has established comprehensive and uniform policies and procedures that promote best business practices to ensure efficient and effective internal controls. Internal Audit: World Vision has a strong internal audit function with auditors based at the headquarters, regional, and field offices. These functions routinely conduct audits on grant-funded programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. External Audit: Grant-funded programs are audited annually as part of the organization's financial statement and government grant Single Audit in accordance with 2 CFR 200.

Schedule G, Part I, Line 2b(iv) Due to the nature of the fundraising consultants' assistance to World Vision, no revenue is specifically attributable to them. They assist World Vision in many aspects of our fundraising efforts throughout the Organization. Some of the work is related to the current year fundraising efforts and others are related to securing the future of the organization. None of them have custody or control of contributions. Additionally, some of the costs paid to Hackeragency and Blue North Strategies are not considered professional fundraising services. Therefore, they are not included in the amounts paid listed on Part I of Schedule G. These costs include printing, freight, and postage. For FY24 these totaled $2,449,198 (Hackeragency) and $472,316 (Blue North Strategies).

Form 990, Part III, Line 1 Mission Statement (continued) The Organization provides emergency relief and long-term community development programs in countries around the world. The Organization also engages-and equips volunteers to engage-in the essential ministry of advocacy, working to change policies and practices that keep children and families in poverty from living the full lives God intends for them. This work includes empowering children, families, and community leaders to advocate on their own behalf. World Vision serves all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender. The Organization strives to maximize its impact by partnering with other development groups, local organizations, churches, public agencies, and governments.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 1a Delegate broad authority to a committee The Organization has an Executive Committee with authority to act on behalf of the governing body. The Committee includes the Board Chair, Vice Chair, and standing committee chairs. The Committee is chaired by the Board Chair. It may act on behalf of the Board between meetings. In addition to responsibilities and limitation on its authority outlined in the bylaws, the Committee may not change the bylaws nor appoint/terminate or accept a resignation from the President. The Committee serves the Board by overseeing relationships with other organizations (including any subsidiary or supporting corporations), public affairs, and the Board's annual evaluation of the President and his or her compensation.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 11b Review of form 990 by governing body Form 990 is prepared by an independent CPA firm. It is provided to the entire Board of Directors after it is reviewed by management. The Board of Directors reviews Form 990 and raises any questions to management for resolution. Form 990 is then filed electronically with the IRS and posted to World Vision's website.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 12c Conflict of interest policy World Vision's Conflict of Interest policy mandates annual disclosure and reporting from all covered individuals (WVUS officers, employees, board members, and their immediate family members) of any third-party business interests, corporate gifts, and relationships involving WVUS transactions (donations, grants, contracts, purchases, leases, investments, employment, or any other commitment of WVUS resources) that may present a conflict of interest. Board members with disclosed conflicts must recuse themselves from voting on the related transaction. The Chief Legal Officer oversees the policy, vetting disclosed conflicts with discretion, assessing and addressing true conflicts promptly, while seeking additional collaboration when necessary. Unique circumstances that warrant an exception to the policy require a written request and prior approval from the Chief Legal Officer.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 15a Process to establish compensation of top management official The Board of Directors mandates the compensation philosophy for the entire organization. The President's salary is reviewed on an annual basis. The Board's Executive Committee will formally evaluate the president based on performance and organizational goals after seeking documented input from each member of the Board, as well as the organization's Senior Leadership team. The Board also determines any compensation adjustments and documents that approval process. In addition, for the purposes of a compensation review, the Board's Executive Committee periodically contracts with compensation consulting firms to conduct an independent review of executive compensation. Once the data is gathered and analyzed by the committee, the recommended compensation package for the President is presented to the full Board for approval.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 15b Process to establish compensation of other employees The process for determining the compensation grade levels for the senior leadership team of World Vision is managed by World Vision US' Director, Compensation & Performance Management and contemporaneously documented. All senior leadership positions are evaluated and matched to market data of both for-profit and nonprofit organizations where similar positions exist. The President approves the specific salary of the CFO, the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, and other leadership positions who report directly to the President within the appropriate grade level and within the Organization's salary administration guidelines based upon recommendation of the Director, Compensation and Performance Management. In addition, periodic audits and reviews are conducted utilizing an outside consultant to validate that compensation levels of the senior leadership team are consistent with our compensation philosophy and current market data.
