What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? IAFF Local 4787 negotiates labor contracts for its members; we represent our members during disciplinary actions. The local also does meet and confer with Administration on general orders, operating procedures, and changes in protocol.

28 IAFF Local 4787 members must be persons engaged in fire fighting or EMS operations or administration, in Hancock County, Indiana who are sworn and paid Full-time employees of a Fire Department in said area. All membership is on a voluntary basis, no person is required to join. At the present we have 39 members. All members have full voting rights, and privileges.
