Form 990, Part VI, Line 6 All American Legion members have equal rights under the local and national charters. There is only one level of membership that is open to all present and former military members serving honorably.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 7A The post as a whole shall appoint and approve all membership applications and elect the officers who shall be responsible for the day to day operations of the organization in conformance with national by-laws.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 7B All decisions made by the governing body are subject to ratification of the membership at the next months monthly membership meeting.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 11 All decisions of the governing body are reviewed on a monthly basis by the membership as a whole. COPIES OF FORM 990 WILL PROVIDED TO ANY MEMBER OF ITS GOVERNING BODY UPON WRITTEN REQUEST.
Form 990, Part VI, Line 12C Anyone who could be subject to a conflict of interest in their dealings with the association are required to recuise themselves from any discussion or vote concerning the conflict.
