Briefly describe the organization’s mission: The Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area (AABA) has been the voice of the San Francisco Bay Areas Asian Pacific American (APA) legal community since 1976. AABA fosters professional development, community, and service. We are advocates and allies for civil rights, representation, and equality.

	-- Sold out 48th Annual Gala: Rooted in Purpose with 67 sponsors and almost 800 attendees, which included over 60 judges (federal, state, agencies)-- 64 events that provided a diverse offering of social, education, professional development, family-friendly, celebratory, and community building events. This is only a very small sampling of events offered to our members in 2024: our annual MCLE mini-Marathon in January; AAPI Women Rising Conference; 37th Annual Summer Diversity Reception; Celebration of AAPI LGBTQ Judges Fireside Chat; Annual Social Justice Mixer; Sustainable Success Series (a three-part mental health series by our Wellness Committee); Courtroom to Catwalk; Committee Open House and National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) Meet-and-Greet; celebration of the appointment of Judges Eumi K. Lee and Rita F. Lin as U.S. District Judges for the Northern District of California; Bay Area Law Students Fall Social (co-sponsored with NAPALSA); a successful and well-attended mixer at the NAPABA Convention in Seattle; swearing-in of almost 40 new attorneys by Judge Rita Lin in the Ceremonial Courtroom at the Northern District of California; annual holiday party with over 150 attendees; and the closing of the year with a family movie night featuring Moana 2.-- Strengthening of the AABA community and building connections with our sister organizations, which included a meet-up of Past AABA Presidents; meet-up of sister APA bar leaders (Presidents, President-Elects, and future Presidents); joint Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Mixer with five sister bar associations; and pickleball event with the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Northern California (VABANC).-- Monthly pro bono clinics organized by our Community Services Committee in partnership with the Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach (APILO).-- Over 155 participants in AABAs mentorship program.-- Completion of the 2025 Bay Area In-house Compensation Survey.-- Evaluation of 10 candidates for judicial positions.-- Execution of our Strategic Plan into 2027 and beyond.-- Launch of AABAs new website.-- Recognition by California Asian Pacific American Bar Association (Cal-APABA) as the 2024 Bar Association of the Year.By all measures, 2024 was a successful year for AABA, but there is something not captured in the numbers. It is the heart of AABA. It is the community that our Board and Committee Co-Chairs work every day to build. It is the way that we support the careers of our members. It is the volunteers who have given hundreds of hours at our pro bono clinics. It is our friends who have become partners in their firms, department heads, general counsels. It is our judges. It is our members who have received national, state, and local recognitions. There are many bar associations out there, but there is something special about AABA.
