What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The mission is to empower Lions Clubs, volunteers and partners to improve the health and well-being of people, strenghten communities, and support those in need through humanitarian service and grants that impact lives globally, and encourage peace and international understanding.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The Hometown Music Fest is a free, family oriented event with a variety of local bands and kids activities that brings the people of Hudson and surrounding communities together. Funds are raised each year for a local charity. The charity, St Croix Valley Food Bank, was the recipient of $8,500. Food and drinks are available for purchase. Approximately 3,500 people attended the one day event. In addition to Lions members, local volunteers also worked to support the event. The event is one of three recognized by the City of Hudson for its positive impact on the community.
