| FORM 990, PART III, LINE4A-PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS | Survivor Services:Unbound Now advocates provide a trust-based relationship through ongoing crisis response and emotional support, connecting survivors to vital resources on their journey to healing and restoration. With proven models such as Trust-Based Relational Intervention and Motivational Interviewing, our advocates are able to support clients with exceptional care, putting them at the center and empowering their journey. Unbound Nows advocacy services are provided to survivors of all genders, ages, and types of trafficking.Crisis response includes: 24/7 in-person crisis response; accompaniment for emergency medical treatment; food, clothing, and arrangement of emergency shelter; and continued response to urgent needs as they arise.Ongoing support and case management includes: regular face-to-face meetings; safety-planning; goal-setting; court and medical accompaniment; transportation to needed services; multi-disciplinary approach to services; assistance completing Crime Victims' Compensation application; celebrating milestones in survivor's life (birthday, GED/graduation, etc); and more.Unbound Now is endorsed by the communities we serve as an advocate agency for commercially sexually exploited youth. We serve as a member of care coordination teams in child sex trafficking cases.In 2024, Unbound Now offered advocacy services in 56 counties and parishes across Texas and Louisiana, serving 1,352 survivors of sex and labor trafficking.Unbound Nows Underground drop-in center provides a short-term resting place for youth recovered from trafficking. Assured of their safety, youth are able to sleep, eat, and unwind as our staff help facilitate next steps, whether that is returning to their home, rehab, shelter, or other long-term residential option. Open 24/7 and with a reputation such that youth on the street take a chance on visiting, the drop-in center provides an open door for a population that has historically been difficult to reach. The Underground provides showers, safety, counseling, and referrals for services for youth in crisis through age 22. In 2024, the Underground served 315 youth over 641 visits.Unbound Nows Reagan home provides a safe environment for girls ages 12 to 17 who have been sexually exploited. Staff work with youth to build coping skills, life skills, and healthy relationships and offer a variety of services to meet the specialized needs of sexually exploited youth. The Reagan provides an evidence-based, trauma-informed home where every girl can experience safety and nurturing care while accessing resources for recovery. In 2024, The Reagan served thirteen girls.In 2024, Unbound Now was endorsed by three counties to provide care coordination for child sex trafficking cases. Care coordination employs awareness, education, creativity, collaboration, continuous learning, and capacity building to identify and recover commercially sexually exploited youth. In 2024, we hired staff, developed software, and brought together partner agencies in preparation for a January 2025 launch of care coordination services in Galveston, Travis, and Williamson counties. |
