| FORM 990, PART III, LINE 1 - ORGANIZATION MISSON: | Founded in 2007 and incorporated as a 501c3 in 2009, Women Deliver, Inc. ("Women Deliver") is a global feminist advocacy organization with a clear mission: to ensure that every self-identifying girl and woman has control over her body and life. We believe sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) are the cornerstone of bodily autonomy and have convened?gender equality advocates from all levels of power for almost two decades to advance this cause. While we are best known for our convening power, our expertise extends beyond the Women Deliver Conferences to global advocacy for gender equality. We have extensive experience in navigating and leveraging global spaces, in equitable youth engagement and co-leadership, including resourcing young people working for change in their communities, countries, and regions, and in supporting and strengthening coalitions and collective movements. We accomplish this via three work streams: Our Collective Action for Change Program harnesses the transformative power of alliances, partnerships, and coalitions to advance gender equality and SRHR and safeguard all girlswomen's rights, particularly during adolescence. We form and collaborate in long-standing feminist coalitions and alliances to advance SRHR and safeguard bodily autonomy, particularly in relation to three issue areas: 1) ensuring gender justice and SRHR in the face of the climate crisis; 2) advancing SRHR in universal health coverage (UHC); and 3) countering the anti-rights movement globally. Our Emerging Leaders for Change Program is a two-year leadership program that supports passionate young activists with the resources, platforms, connections, and trainings necessary to amplify and achieve their advocacy goals. Women Deliver, with its strong commitment to both gender equality and SRHR, has a strong history of equitable youth engagement and co-leadership. Our Convenings for Change Program consists of three key pillars that harness our expertise in convening and co-creating inclusive advocacy spaces. These pillars are: 1) leading the planning and delivery of the Women Deliver Conference as a platform for collective action; 2) shaping global agendas through regional dialogues, digital convenings, and thought leadership; and 3) facilitating intersectional, cross-movement collaboration to advance gender equality and SRHR, with a focus on adolescent girls. As an advocacy organization, Women Deliver sees communications - including traditional and digital media - as an invaluable tool to build the capacity of other advocates and move the needle on gender equality. We share stories, hard facts, and evidence-based research to drive action for gender equality, keeping the health and rights, and particularly the SRHR of adolescent girls, at the top of the agenda and at the heart of the conversation. The goal of our communications is clear: to curate conversations that drive gender equality forward in unprecedented ways, whether through face-to-face interactions or across digital platforms. Specifically, we are committed to shaping a future where our narrative, language, and brand not only reflect our feminist and anti-racist values but also actively contribute to dismantling the systems that oppress girls and women. To achieve this, we will leverage our technical expertise, brand influence, and enduring partnerships with feminist and youth advocates around the world. |
