What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? AITA is one of the small number of non-profit tennis clubs in the country dedicated to the promotion of life-long tennis. AITA members enjoy year-around tennis at affordable prices with a variety of membership options available to meet one's needs. AITA is run by members for the members over the past 50 plus years. As a primarily volunteer-based organization, AITA relies on annual membership dues and its volunteers to maintain and improve the club.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 AITA has approximately 125 members who are focused on improving their overall confidence and play in tennis. We host several womens league teams and a couple of men's teams that play in various leagues: DBH, CMITA and Summer League. Oue women's teams were very competitive and all finishing in the top 1-3 of their respective leagues. Since we are volunteer organization we depend on our members to help maintain the club. We expanded the volunteer program in an effort to reduce our operating costs. In doing so, we were able to generate significant profits from operations which will help pay for a new bubble, redo the indoor courts and overhaul the bathrooms.
