What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The purpose of Ruritan is to create a better understanding among people and, through volunteer service, make our communities better places to live and work. The slogan of Ruritan is Fellowship, Goodwill and Community Service. Ruritan does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, national origin, religion, color, political affiliation, handicap, or gender.
