| Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 8 | Other revenue for WCWGA is derived from green and cart fees and lunch (when applicable). These fees are collected from members who choose to enter any of the (20) golf events that are scheduled from May through September. In addition to the above mentioned fees, each entry includes $4 for golf balls and also a $1 contribution which is remitted to the Worcester County Food Bank after each tournament. |
| Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 16 | Prior to each golf event, the treasurer reconciles the amount due to the golf course with the course representative and remits payment to the course. Golf balls are purchased at the golf course on the day of the event and are awarded for prizes at all tournaments in each division proportionately to the size of the field. Several times during the year, closest to the pin and longest drive awards are also given to members who have accomplished this during the designated event. Additionally, the board of WCWGA plans both a Spring and Fall meeting for the course representatives. The meeting is held at one of the member clubs. Information regarding the upcoming schedule and other business is discussed at the Spring meeting. The Fall meeting acknowledges the time and talents that each course representative graciously provides to the Association during the season. |
