What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Provide Irrigation Water to Shareholders
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Clallam Ditch Company (CDC) has one program service, to provide uninterrupted irrigation water to its over 1,100 shareholders during the period of April 15 thru Sept 14 each year. All expenses incurred by CDC are to support that program service. Clallam Ditch Company (CDC) has one program service, to provide uninterrupted irrigation water to its over 1,100 shareholders during the period of April 15 thru Sept 14 each year. All expenses incurred by CDC are to support that program service.The irrigation water is obtained from a head gate on the Dungeness River. It is delivered via underground pipes to the shareholders. The head gate and pipes require oversight and repair. This is performed using a combination of employees and subcontractors. The subcontractors provide expertise and heavy equipment needed to perform repairs when the pipes break or to provide hookup to the CDC water line for new customers. The employees, of which there are 3, consist of two ditch managers and a bookkeeper. The Board Members and Officers of CDC are unpaid volunteers.
