For the period covered by this Form 990-PF, the Foundation experienced a substantial contraction of net assets as defined by IRS Instructions for the Form 990-PF. This contraction in net assets was due to the Foundation making substantial charitable grants above and beyond its minimum distribution requirements and current year income; seeing great need for assistance in areas that are important to the Foundation, the Foundation paid higher than usual grants during this tax year in furtherance of its charitable goals.
