Briefly describe the organization’s mission: The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity (PIKE) is dedicated to developing young men of integrity, intellect, high moral character, and to fostering a truly lifelong fraternal experience. PIKE is built on what are known as the four (4) pillars of PIKE: Scholars, Leaders, Athletes, and Gentlemen.

The Zeta Chapter is requesting an abatement of any penalties or late filing fees associated with the filing of the TY23 (6/30/24) Form 990 due to "reasonable cause". We acknowledge and sincerely apologize for the late filing of our Chapter's TY23 Form 990. The Zeta Chapter was granted tax-exempt status effective 5/15/2023 (IRS letter dated 11/07/24); however, due to the timing of the IRS tax-exempt application approval, it precluded our Chapter from the ability to timely file the Form 990 ("impediment"). That is, our Chapter was not reestablished as tax-exempt within the IRS data files until post the filing due date (which also precluded our Chapter from filing an associated extension). Again, our Chapter sincerely apologizes for the late filing and hope you will consider the abatement of any penalties or late filing fees owed for "reasonable cause".
