What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? We are a local chapter of Kiwanis International dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time, by holding fundraisers to provide scholarships and funds to various educational and charitable organizations focused on helping children.

Explanation:

Form 8868 was filed to extend the filing deadline. Local accounting firms were requesting a very large fee to file Form 990 and we do not have sufficient funds to pay large fees. We are filing Form 990 on our own and trying to do the best we can to comply with complicated regulations for small non-profit chariable organizations. We respectfully request that any late filing fees be waived, and we will try our best to comply in the future. Thank you very much for understanding!
