Provide, operate, and maintain a meeting facility for local veterans (members). To meet the exempt purpose, American Legion-Anderson Post 318 owns and operates a local meeting hall (referred to as the post). To generate money needed to pay the mortgage, operating expenses, taxes, government fees and maintenance expenses, the organization conducts bingo sessions, fish fry's, dinner/dances, concerts and other events throughout the year.
