THE VESSEL WAS EQUIPPED WITH DESALINATION SYSTEMS, VERSATILE LANDING CRAFT AND TENDERS, AND A CERTIFIED WASH LABORATORY, ENABLING THE PROVISION OF TENS OF THOUSANDS OF LITERS OF POTABLE WATER AND THE TESTING OF WATER QUALITY IN FIELD ENVIRONMENTS.FOLLOWING HURRICANE BERYL, GSD CONDUCTED BATHYMETRIC SURVEYS OF THE KINGSTOWN CRUISE TERMINAL AND CAMPDEN PARK CARGO PORT IN ST. VINCENT, PROCESSED HIGH-RESOLUTION SONAR DATA, AND REMOVED DEBRIS.IN PARTNERSHIP WITH WFP AND CDEMA, DAWN HOSTED A LARGE-SCALE MARITIME LOGISTICS SIMULATION EXERCISE (SIMEX), BRINGING TOGETHER MORE THAN 40 PARTICIPANTS FROM ACROSS THE HUMANITARIAN, MARITIME, AND DISASTER MANAGEMENT SECTORS. THE EXERCISE TESTED REGIONAL COORDINATION DURING A SIMULATED EARTHQUAKE AND TSUNAMI IN ST. LUCIA, UNDERSCORING THE VALUE OF STRONGER LINKAGES BETWEEN HUMANITARIAN ACTORS AND MARITIME OPERATORS.DAWN EXPANDED IT SCIENTIFIC AND AVIATION CAPABILITIES. THROUGH A COLLABORATION WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST INDIES, THE VESSEL SUPPORTED THE COLLECTION OF MARINE DATA, INCLUDING WATER SAMPLING, BIODIVERSITY ASSESSMENTS, AND MICROPLASTICS ANALYSIS PROVIDING REGIONAL RESEARCHERS WITH OFFSHORE ACCESS THAT IS TYPICALLY LIMITED. THE VESSEL SUCCESSFULLY VALIDATED HELICOPTER OPERATIONS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH CARIBBEAN BUZZ, CONDUCTING AERIAL SURVEYS, CARGO TRANSFERS, CASEVACS, AND DECK-LANDING EMERGENCY DRILLS AS PART OF INTEGRATING MARITIME AND AVIATION SUPPORT FOR DISASTER RESPONSE.FINALLY, DAWN'S DIVE TEAM CARRIED OUT HULL INSPECTIONS AND IMPLEMENTED LOCK-OUT/TAG-OUT SAFETY PROCEDURES TO STRENGTHEN INTERNAL MARITIME READINESS.
