Through December 31, 2022 the club provided a shooting range for members and their guests to shoot informally. The club allowed competitive shooting organizations IDPA and IPSC to each host a monthly match at our range, generally in the better-weather months. Such matches were open to the public and supervised by the respective hosting organization. The club's landlord, Clear Creek County, did not renew the Club's land lease for 2023. The county plans to develop a public shooting range on that land. In 2023 the club removed its improvements from the leased land. The club is currently searching for an alternate site on which to establish a new range and resume operations.

Return Reference Explanation
Form 990, Part III, Line 3 The following was disclosed on our 2023 Form 990. From the 1960s through December 31, 2022 the club provided a shooting range for members and their guests to shoot informally. The club allowed competitive shooting organizations IDPA and IPSC to each host a monthly match at our range, generally in the better-weather months. Such matches were open to the public and supervised by the respective hosting organization. The club's landlord, Clear Creek County, did not renew the Club's land lease for 2023. The county plans to develop a public shooting range on that land. The club is currently searching for an alternate site on which to establish a new range and resume operations.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a The organization's bylaws provide for members o elect a 7-member board of directors. Director-service terms are 2 years; an individual may serve an unlimited number of 2-year terms. The board of directors elects directors as officers. The board of directors has general management, supervision and control over all activities of the organization other than those reserved for the members. The bylaws also provide that the bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds vote of members present at a general membership meeting.
