Dear IRS, My name is Phil Yannoni and I am the new treasurer for our non-profit organization calledThe Association of Retired Santa Clara County fire department Employees. I am new to this position and a first time filer for this organization. Unfortunately, I filed incorrectly via mail and apparently not in a timely manner. (I thought our association file anytime after the fiscal year, but I was mistaken) Per the IRS return letter, I believe I am correctly re-filing the Form 990-EZ. I did not see a list of missing or incomplete information found on the return as the letter stated. If I missed it, please advise and Ill reconcile asap. Please accept this letter as an explanation and not an excuse, as I know the responsibility for correctly and timely filing the association's taxes is solely on me.
