ON FEBRUARY 21, 2024, 28 ALUMNI MEMBERS ATTENDED AN UP-CLOSE TOUR OF THE F-35, F-16 AND A-10 WARTHOG, ORDINANCE, AND OTHER SIGNIFICANT ASPECTS OF LUKE AIR FORCE BASE MARCH 5 7, 2024, UP TO 15 MEMBERS PARTICIPATED IN AN FBI WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION (WMD EXERCISE. THIS WAS A LARGE-SCALE MULTI-AGENCY EXERCISE DESIGNED TO ENHANCE THE LAW ENFORCEMENT RESPONSE TO THE THEFT OF HIGH ENERGY RADIOLOGICAL SOURCES. THE ROLE-PLAYERS WERE MAINLY USED IN THE PATROL AND TACTICAL/SWAT RESPONSE LANE SCENARIOS AND WOULD BE THE STAFF OF A FACILITY WHERE A HIGH ENERGY RAD SOURCE IS BEING STOLEN. THE BAD GUYS WERE ALL AGENTS. THE EXERCISE WAS HELD AT THE GILBERT, AZ PUBLIC SAFETY TRAINING ACADEMY 6860 S POWER ROAD, GILBERT, AZ 85295. ON MARCH 28, 2024, TWENTY-TWO CHAPTER MEMBERS WERE PRIVILEGED TO TAKE A DOCENT GUIDED TRAM TOUR OF THE PIMA AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM, LOCATED IN TUCSON, ARIZONA, ONE OF THE LARGEST NON-GOVERNMENTAL AEROSPACE MUSEUMS IN THE WORLD. ON APRIL 01, 2024, THE FBI IN COLLABORATION WITH THE FBI PHOENIX CAAA CONDUCTED RANGE DAY FOR THE GRADUATING CLASS. APRIL 2024, FBI PHOENIX CAAA ENTERED INTO A PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT WITH THE NATIONAL CENTER FOR MISSING AND EXPLOITED CHILDREN (NCMEC). A SEVEN-MEMBER TEAM WAS ESTABLISHED ADDRESSING TRAINING, MARKETING AND CLIENT SUPPORT. PRESENTER TRAINING OF NCMEC EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS COMMENCED IN MAY 2024 AND IS ONGOING. GOOD TIMES HAD BY ALL ON SEPTEMBER 05, 2024, CHAPTER MEMBERS HAD A COMPREHENSIVE TOUR OF THE ARIZONA COUNTER TERRORISM INFORMATION CENTER (ACTIC), SUPPORTING ARIZONA HOMELAND SECURITY EFFORTS AND PROVIDING INTELLIGENCE, INVESTIGATIVE AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO STATE, LOCAL, TRIBAL, AND FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES AS WELL AS OTHER AGENCIES CRITICAL TO ARIZONA AND THE COUNTRY'S HOMELAND SECURITY EFFORTS. ON NOVEMBER 16, 2024, FBI PHOENIX CAAA, HELD ITS ANNUAL GALA EVENT AT THE ADOBE LOCATED ON THE BILTMORE PROPERTY. PHOENIX BEING THE FIRST CHAPTER OF THE CITIZENS ACADEMY, THIS YEAR WE CELEBRATED THE 30TH YEAR, A TRUE LEGACY EVENT. MORE THAN 110 PEOPLE ATTENDED, WHICH WAS THE HIGHEST ATTENDED ANNUAL EVENT HELD. THE GUEST SPEAKER FOR THE EVENT WAS JANA MONROE. JANA MONROE IS A RETIRED FBI EXECUTIVE WHO HELD A VARIETY OF INCREASINGLY RESPONSIBLE FIELD INVESTIGATIVE AND OPERATIONAL ROLES, AND EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP ROLES ACROSS THE U.S., INCLUDING FIVE PLUS YEARS AS A CRIMINAL PROFILER AT QUANTICO, VA., WITH A SPECIALTY IN SERIAL CRIMES. ON DECEMBER 7 - DECEMBER 21, 2024, FBI PHOENIX CAAA PARTICIPATED IN THE SHOP-WITH-A-COP EVENT AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN THE PHOENIX AND TUCSON AREA. THIS EVENT FOCUSED ON UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES.
