What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Bowls USA promotes and develops the Sport of Lawn Bowls throughout the USA. I promulgates the rules of the sport. It selects and trains the USA National team for international world wide competition. It unifies and coordinates activities amongst over 100 clubs throughout the USA. It serves as both a training and development forum for minors and also serves as a physical and social outlet for elderly individuals of all ages who can participate past the age of 90 years.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Sponsors and coordinates over 50 tournaments and events for over 1,000 players nationwide. Through this process develops training and coaching for both entry level players and highly developed players to create a national Team USA to represent the USA when competing in international tournaments events.

Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 10 Grants to dues paying member clubs for development and improvement of Clubs' greens and facilities. Grants also provided for sponsorship of nationwide tournaments and events.
Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 16 Bowls USA is an entirely volunteer organization incorporated in the State of Washington but operating throughout the USA. There is a constitution and by laws with extensive policies and procedures. The organization is administered by elected officers and elected regional delegates. There are administrative, meetings and operating costs, development and maintenance of a Website, policies of general liability insurance, membership registration, promotion and retention programs, etc. The total cost of all of these programs is $19,292.00.
Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 20 Member Clubs are all operated by non professional volunteers. Bookkeeping from one year to the next is changes hands and is often inconsistent. There are account balance adjustments made without explanations and carry over balances are not always consistent. The information being provided reflects all bank balances and expenses reported at the end of 2022.

I am the volunteer Treasurer for the organization. We were severely impacted by the Pandemic and our Clubs and members went dormant for over a year. We began functioning again in 2022. Information was difficult to obtain and I was personally overwhelmed and suffering from coronary disease that led to an open heart triple bypass surgery. We do not have any paid officers or employees and are all volunteers. I respectfully request that penalties be abated and the non profit status of the organization be preserved.
