Other program services Part III line 31 October A bowling event was held at Five Star Lanes in Sterling Heights, MI. 94 attendees enjoyed bowling, lunch, and a raffle. Net expenses were $2,603.
Part III response or note to any other line in Part III EXEMPT PURPOSE -- TO BRING TOGETHER THE DESCENDANTS OF THE FIRST YEE ANCESTOR. FURTHER, THE ASSOCIATION OFFERS CHARITABLE SCHOLARSHIPS TO ITS MEMBERS, IN ORDER FOR THE MEMBERS TO FURTHER THEIR EDUCATION. March The annual Spring Banquet was held at Fuji Buffet in Madison Heights, MI. 150 attended. Raffle prizes and honorary awards were given out. Net expenses were $5,933 July The annual Picnic and Scholarship Award ceremony was held at Boulan Park in Troy, MI. Lunch was provided, and there were games, mah-jongg, a raffle, and calligraphy lessons. 180 people attended. The highlight was the scholarship presentation to 73 scholars, ranging from pre-school to post graduates. Net expenses were $25,332, including 19,400 in scholarships. August Thirteen members attended the Yee Fung Toy four day national convention in New York City. There were delegates from 14 chapters from around the country, gathered to discuss national and local issues and to elect officers for the next three years. Including the Detroit chapters donation of $10,470 to the convention, net expenses were $13,216.
