WE HAVE OBSERVED A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN ENGAGMENT AND RETENTION RATES AMONG PARTICIPANTS. IN 2024 THERE WERE TWENTY CLASSES OFFERED DURING THE THREE SESSIONS WITH A TOTAL ENROLLMENT OF SIXTY-SIX DURING THE YEAR. THIS YEAR, OUR MINISTRY HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF WALKING ALONGSIDE A LOCAL NEIGHBOR WHO INITIALLY CAME TO US TO COMPLETE 100 HOURS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE. WHAT BEGAN AS A COURT-MANDATED OBLIGATION TURNED INTO A TRANSFORMATIVE JOURNEY.AFTER FULFILLING HER REQUIRED HOURS AND SETTLING HER FINES, SHE VOLUNTARILY ENROLLED IN OUR CHANGE YOUR LIFE CLASSES, WHERE SHE DEMONSTRATED REMARKABLE PERSONAL GROWTH, INCREASED SELF-CONFIDENCE, AND EMERGING LEADERSHIP SKILLS. INSPIRED BY HER DEDICATION AND POTENTIAL, WE INVITED HER TO JOIN OUR TEAM AT ONE OF OUR THRIFT STORES. SINCE JOINING THE STAFF, SHE HAS CONTINUED TO THRIVEGROWING IN HER ROLE, BUILDING STRONG RELATIONSHIPS, AND CONTRIBUTING MEANINGFULLY AS A TEAM PLAYER.HER STORY IS A POWERFUL EXAMPLE OF OUR MISSION IN ACTION. THIS YEAR, WE TOOK A SIGNIFICANT STEP FORWARD IN DEEPENING OUR IMPACT BY HIRING A NEIGHBOR DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR (CASE MANAGER). THIS ROLE WAS CREATED TO SUPPORT NEIGHBORS PARTICIPATING IN OUR CHANGE YOUR LIFE CLASSES AS THEY WALK THROUGH THEIR JOURNEY OF TRANSFORMATION. THE COORDINATOR WORKS CLOSELY WITH EACH INDIVIDUAL TO IDENTIFY THEIR UNIQUE STRENGTHS AND AREAS FOR GROWTH, AND TOGETHER THEY DEVELOP AN INDIVIDUAL TRANSFORMATION PLAN (ITP). THESE PERSONALIZED PLANS INCLUDE GOAL-SETTING AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNERS TO ENSURE ONGOING SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT. BY ADDING THIS DEDICATED POSITION, WE ARE ABLE TO PROVIDE MORE INTENTIONAL, ONE-ON-ONE SUPPORT, ULTIMATELY ENHANCING OUR ABILITY TO ENGAGE WITH AND EMPOWER OUR NEIGHBORS. VOLUNTEERS: ALL OF THE VOLUNTEERS ARE PART-TIME, AND THEY SERVE IN MANY DIFFERENT CAPACITIES LISTED ON THIS 990. IN 2024 THERE WERE 172 VOLUNTEERS WHO PROVIDED A TOTAL OF 16,353 HOURS OF SERVICES TO THE MINISTRY AS A WHOLE.THE BOARD PROVIDES INVALUABLE GUIDANCE TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, OFFERING INSIGHTS AND SUPPORT AS NEEDED TO NAVIGATE THE COMPLEXITIES OF MANAGING AND LEADING OUR ORGANIZATION, THEIR COLLECTIVE EXPERTISE AND DIVERSE PERSPECTIVES CONTRIBUTE TO INFORMED DECISION-MAKING, ENABLING US TO ADAPT AND THRIVE IN A DYNAMIC ENVIRONMENT. CONNECTION CENTER: THE CONNECTION CENTER IS THE HEART OF OUR MINISTRY. THE ACTIVITY THAT SUSTAINS OUR MISSION AND EMBODIES OUR COMMITMENT TO SERVE THOSE IN NEED. THE INTAKE PROCESS IS WHERE EIGHTEEN VOLUNTEERS BECOME THE COMPASSIONATE CONDUITS BETWEEN INDIVIDUALS SEEKING ASSISTANCE AND THE RESOURCES WE PROVIDE. TRAINED WITH REDEMPTIVE COMPASSION, OUR VOLUNTEERS EMBARK ON A JOURNEY WITH EACH CALLER. IN THE YEAR OF 2024, WE PROCESSED 215 INTAKES, 125 RELATIONAL CONTACT CALLS, AND OFFERED 107 PRAYER CALLS. CHILDRENS EDUCATION: AS PART OF OUR CHANGE YOUR LIFE (CYL) PROGRAM. CHILDREN OF ALL AGES ACCOMY THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS TO THE CLASSES OFFERED TO OUR NEIGHBOR. OUR CHILDRENS PROGRAM HAS A DEDICATED TEAM OF PROFESSIONAL TEACHERS, RETIRED EDUCATIONS AND OTHER DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS WHO GIVE OF THEIR TIME AND EXPERTISE. OUR YOUNG LEARNERS WILL EXPERIENCE A WIDE RANGE OF TOPICS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LIVING A CHRISTIAN LIFE, AGE- APPROPRIATE LIFE SKILLS, AND FOSTERING POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHERS. DELIVERY AND PICKUPS: THE TRANSPORTATION OF LARGE QUANTITIES OF DONATED GOODS AND THE DELIVERY OF HEAVIER ITEMS IN OUR NEIGHBORS ARE VITAL COMPONENTS OF OUR MINISTRYS OUTREACH EFFORTS, LED BY A DEDICATED TEAM OF VOLUNTEERS.THESE INITIATIVES ENSURE THAT ESSENTIAL ITEMS REACH THOSE IN NEED WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY. THROUGHOUT 2024, OUR VOLUNTEERS MADE A TOTAL OF 317 PICKUPS TO COLLECT DONATED GOODS FROM INDIVIDUALS WITHIN OUR SERVICE AREA,. THESE PICKUPS INVOLVES THE TRANSPORTATION OF A WIDE RANGE OF ITEMS, INCLUDING FURNISHINGS, CLOTHING, APPLANICES ETC. IN ADDITION TO PICKUPS WE ALSO HAVE MADE 224 DELIVERIES OF ITEMS TO OUR NEIGHBORS WE SERVE. ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: THE FACILITATOR AND TRAINING FOR REDEMPTIVE COMPASSION, FOOD SERVICE FOR THE CHANGE YOUR LIFE CLASSES WERE CHURCHES PROVIDE A MEAL TO NEIGHBORS AND VOLUNTEERS BEFORE CLASSES BEGIN. HOST AND HOSTESSES THE NIGHT OF CLASSES HELP PROVIDE A WELCOMING ENVIRONMENT FOR EVERYONE, CHILDRENS PROGRAM COORDINATOR IS ANOTHER VOLUNTEER POSITION THAT IS REQUIRED EACH WEEK AT THE CYL CLASSES. TRANSPORTATION SERVICES: OUR VOLUNTEERS PLAY A VITAL ROLE IN PROVIDING TRANSPORTATION SERVICES TO MANY OF OUR NEIGHBORS WHO PARTICIPATE IN THE TUESDAY EVENING CYL CLASSES USING VANS GENEROUSLY DRIVEN BY LOCAL CHURCHES. THESE VOLUNTERS TRANSPORT PARTICIPANTS AND THEIR CHILDREN TO AND FROM THE CLASSES. THIS TRANSPORTATION SERVICES REMOVES BARRIERS TO ATTENDING THE CLASSES. THE VOUCHER FULFILLMENT PROGRAM AT LOVE INC PLAYS A CRUCIAL ROLE IN RECOGNIZING AND REWARDING THE DEDICATION AND HARDWORK OF THOSE IN THE CHANGE YOUR LIFE CLASSES.WHEN THE PARTICIPANT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR FULL PARTICIPATION IN THE CYL CLASSES INCLUDING ATTENDANCE AND COMPLETION OF ASSIGNMENTS. IN 2024 PARTICIPANTS EARNED A TOTAL OF 2296 VOUCHERS WITH AN APPROXIMATE VALUE OF $31,326. THE DONATION CENTER: SERVES AS A VITAL HUB OF ACTIVITY WITHIN LOVE INC. WHERE GENEROSITY MEETS COMPASSION TO SUPPORT OUR MISSION OF SERVING OUR NEIGHBORS WITH THEIR NEEDS.
