Explanation

Part I, Line 2:

Scholarships. The Lodge gives out college scholarships to Jackson High School graduating seniors. These scholarships are determined by the scholarship committee that reviews essays submitted by the students. Once students have been selected, the Lodge transfers money to the Fund for Public Education and due diligence is then performed to ensure that students are enrolled in college before submitting the scholarship money to the respective schools. C - V Ranch (the Ranch). This is a K-12 residential school designed to provide educational programming, therapy, and vocational development. The Lodge supports the Ranch's annual Christmas party for the students and provides a gift for each student. There is no set amount each year. The board of the Ranch submits a request to the Lodge for the amount they need and then its voted on at a Lodge meeting and requires a majority vote to pass. All other financial assistance is granted on a case by case basis. Someone in the community needs to submit a request to the Lodge which is then discussed at the next monthly lodge meeting and approved by a majority vote.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 6	The Club has a membership of approximately 757 members.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7a	All Lodge officers are elected annually for a one-year term, except that trustees will hold three-year terms with one trustee to belected annually.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7b	All decisions are voted on by the entire membership in attendance at a meeting. Membership decisions require a two thirds majority, while other issues require a 50% majority.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b	IRS Form 990 is prepared by an exernal CPA and is then reviewed by the Lodge's audit comittee members. Once reviewed, IRS Form 990 is then presented to the trustees who then review the return and present it to the entire membership for approval. Once approved, the external CPA is authorized to file the return with the IRS.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c	Conflicts of interest are regularly monitored by the governing body. Members with a conflict of interest are required to abstain from voting.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15a	Compensation of the top management position is determined by the governing body using comparable market data from the Jackson, Wyoming area.
