This activity is not operated as a commercial business but as a means to generate revenue for charitable programs.
1B The foundation rents gym space to local community groups. This is passive rental of real property and is therefore excluded from unrelated business income under IRC 512(b)(3). Proceeds are used to support our charitable athletic programs
1C The foundation operates a gym facility and provides memberships to community members. Membership fees support the maintenance of the facility and directly further the organizations exempt purpose of promoting athletics, fitness, and community health.
