What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Organization's purpose is to promote business to the downtown Auburn business area. This is done by organizing and promoting activities in the downtown area and enhancing the appearance and business environment of the downtown area.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The organization sponsors and promotes various events in the Auburn downtown area, open, and usually free, to the entire community, with the main events being; 1)Cruise Nites which is held on 5 Wednesday evenings in the summer time with usually 12 vendors, 120 cars(paying participants), and 2,000 to 3,000 attendees at each event, 2) a Christmas Santa, also open to the entire community for two weekends, with about 1,000 attending, plus vendors, 3)a Safe Trick or Treat with about 2,000 attending, 4) a Fall Festival/Octoberfest with about 2,000 participants,5)a Spring Festival with aprox 1,500 attendees, and 6) the Wine/Ale & Food Festival (entrance fees charged)with about 600 attendees and 20 businesses and 20 restaurants paraticipating.

29 Enhanced the business environment; beautified the appearance by adding several trees and plants, stained the benches, and on-going clean-up and maintenance of town square grassy area and landscape, including sidewalk planters, USA flags during July, and other seasonal decor. Promoted the businesses by completing the signage project; maintained security and comfort of the downtown area of Auburn for its local community and its visitors by adding lighting on clocktower and its surrounding area, providing "music around town" on Friday evenings from April thru October (approx 100 to 200 attend per night; and maintained space to facilitate outdoor seating and gathering at promenade and clock tower. Started a marketing strategy with City for professional marketing. Members include about 360 businesses of Downtown Auburn.
