The Ameritas Charitable Foundation meets twice a year. In order to be responsive to the needs of the
dAny restrictions or limitations on awards, such as by geographical areas, charitable fields, kinds of institutions, or other
factors:
Preference will be given to funding requests from qualified applicants received from communities with an Ameritas presence. All organizations having 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status conferred by the Internal Revenue Service are eligible to apply for funding consideration as long as the organization has two years of audited or reviewed financial statements. Preference will be given to educational programs, but consideration will be given to civic, cultural, health and welfare requests. Generally, requests for support of debt retirement or operational deficits are not favored. Funding of any project, program or organization is limited to 10% of the total amount of the project, program or organizational budget. Funding is also limited to 5% of the total amount for capital campaigns.
