What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR CALIFORNIA VETERINARY STUDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITES BEYOND THE CLASSROOM.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 UCD SVM SAVMA - SAVMA IS AN UMBRELLA ORGANIZATION THAT FUNDS ALL OF OUR STUDENT CLUBS ON CAMPUS FOR THE PURPOSE OF REACHING OUT TO ALL STUDENTS AND PROMOTING UNITY. CLUB ACTIVITIES, SUCH AS WETLABS AND FIELD TRIPS ALLOW STUDENTS TO DEVELOP CLINICAL SKILLS AND FURTHER THEIR INTERESTS IN THE VETERINARY FIELD. ONE OF SAVMA'S GREATEST EXPENSES IS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDING FOR STUDENTS TO PURSUE EXTERNSHIPS OR ANY ACTIVITY THAT ALLOWS THEM TO EXPAND THEIR VETERINARY EDUCATION BEYOND THE CLASSROOM. SAVMA SUPPORTS STUDENTS THROUGH CLASS ACTIVITIES AS WELL BY PROVIDING START UP FUNDS FOR CERTAIN EVENTS IN EACH CLASS. SAVMA ALSO STRIVES TO UNIFY STUDENTS AND FACULTY THROUGH EVENTS.
