What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? We are the lead economic development organization serving Butler and Grundy Counties in Iowa. We promote economic prosperity by providing resources and building relationships to help attract and retain business and industry to grow our employment opportunities and tax base, and to support community development to help our communities attract new residents. Our secondary role is to serve as the lead tourism marketing organization for our two counties.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Market Butler and Grundy counties and assist with development of industrial sites to attract new employers and businesses. We also assist the leaders in our communities with community development technical assistance related to increasing available housing, downtown redevelopment, and workforce development and attraction.
