| Form 990, Part III, Line 4a Continuation of narrative | As the new hospital opened, leadership determined that they needed to evaluate the hospital's needs for support from SFBHF once the move was complete. As a result, some of the larger planned grants to the hospital were temporarily delayed until the evaluation could be completed, resulting in fewer grants to SFBH than normal. Our most significant program expense was $166,360 to design and install new recognition walls and room plaques in the new hospital to recognize our many generous and valued donors. In addition, we invited our donors to a very special dinner of thanks and recognition and the chance to have a first look at our new hospital and what the next 70 years may look like. |
| Form 990, Part III, Line 4d Description of other program services | (Expenses $ 5,822 including grants of $ 4,637) South Florida Baptist Hospital Foundation offers a program titled Patient Experience Grant. It is a grant awarded to hospital departments that are applied for by hospital team members. They may apply for funding up to $5,000 for equipment, supplies or a program that will improve the patient experience in their area. This program has been in place since 2016. The funding is provided by the annual team member giving campaign, Together We Make A Difference! In 2024 the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department was awarded $4,637 for a Birthing Simulator. This program gives team members an opportunity to secure financial support for services for their patients. It's a great way to build relationships with the team and support their priorities with Foundation dollars. |
