Briefly describe the organization’s mission: Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities, CGMC, cities are dedicated to a strong Greater Minnesota. Our mission is to develop viable, progressive communities for businesses and families through strong economic growth and good local government. We support fair property taxes, good land use planning, sensible environmental regulation, a balanced transportation system, and effective economic development tools to meet that goal.

	Legislative, legal, educational, media, and other services focused on common issues that affect Greater Minnesota cities including property taxes, local sales tax, capital investment and infrastructure, and emergency medical services. We worked with legislators and other city groups to advocate for provisions related to Tax Increment Financing, sales tax exemptions, and revising the process of local sales tax authorization, but none of these provisions were in the final tax bill. Together with a coalition of other supporters, we secured $24 million in emergency aid for rural EMS.

	Legislative, legal, educational, media, and other services for environmental issues focused on funding and regulation. We advocated for additional funding for critical water infrastructure programs and lead line replacement, and worked to prevent changes to these state programs that would have made it more difficult for our communities to access these funds.

	Legislative, legal, educational, media, and other services related to economic development and transportation. This session we worked with legislators and other groups to push for increased funding for the Business Development Public Infrastructure program, housing infrastructure programs, and transportation infrastructure programs. We also worked to stop or modify legislation that would have impacted economic growth and infrastructure development in Greater MN.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 1a	The CGMC by motion, or the President alone may establish such standing or special committees as are deemed necessary for the proper conduct of the affairs of the organization. Standing or special committees may be established at any meeting. The members of these standing or special committees shall be appointed by the President. The members of the committee may elect their own chairperson, unless the chair is designated by the President. The standing or special committees may meet from time to time upon their own motion and shall report any action taken by the committee to the Board of Directors.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 6	There is only one class of members.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7a	Representatives of the member cities elect the officers for the organization at the annual membership meeting in August of each fiscal year. Member cities must be located in "Greater Minnesota." The President appoints the board of directors in September.
