This program provides group instruction on ice and off ice as well as parent education for skaters wanting to further develop their talent in skating. These are character development value words that best represent the Aspire athlete and words that represent what skating teaches all of us: ATTITUDE | SPORTSMANSHIP | PERSEVERANCE | INTEGRITY | RESPECT | EFFORT OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 21: Solo Dance Camp - The camp was tailored for solo dancers of all proficiency levels participating in the International Solo Dance Series, which expanded in the 2023 season. Held in conjunction with the Denver Invitational at the South Suburban Sports Complex on March 12, the camp provided skaters with opportunities to enhance their skills locally. Participants had the chance to receive one-on-one critiques from dance judges and tech specialists, attend ballroom classes, and take on-ice sessions covering essential elements such as expression and movement. The camp also included a parent information meeting, and both on-ice classes and critiques were led by guest tech specialists and judges with a dance background, while off-ice instruction was provided by a ballroom expert. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 22: Junior Board - The Junior Board of Directors was established to give our young skaters an opportunity to develop leadership skills and provide service to others. The skaters learn responsibility and the meaning of volunteerism, while enhancing positive character traits, strengthening friendships and becoming effective and active members of the club. The responsibilities of the Junior Board are meeting together once a month to organize activities, events, & volunteer in club functions, while creating new & fun ideas for our junior members. |
