| Part XII LINE 1 - Basis of Accounting: | The financial statements have been prepared on the modified cash basis of accounting, which is a basis of accounting other than accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America. Generally, revenue is recognized when received rather than when earned and expenses are recorded when paid rather than when the obligation is incurred. However, investments are reported at fair value, investment income is recorded when earned, property assets are capitalized and depreciated, transactions as a result of payroll processing are accrued, amounts collected on behalf of members are accrued, and amounts due from affiliated organizations for expenses paid on their behalf are accrued. The financial statements are not intended to present the Guild's financial position and activities in conformity with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America. |
