Return Reference Explanation
Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 8 Other revenue the organization brings in comes from a few sources. First is the sale of flags and flagpoles to individuals and local organizations, second is a Stars and Stripes yard flag program in which we erect USA flags in yards or entrances, third is honor guard activities at the funerals or memorial services for deceased veterans, fourth is other miscellaneous income.
Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 10 This line represents American Legion Membership dues which are forwarded to State/Department, which then distributes a portion to our local district, State keeps a portion, and the remainder is forwarded to the National organization level.
Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 16 These expenses are insurance expenses; charitable organization donations, Boy's State funding for local boys, scholarships, purchase of flags and flagpoles from our American Legion supplier, and purchase of bingo concessions.
