TO SERVE AS THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGENT FOR THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT FACULTY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF AKRON (AS DEFINED BY THE OHIO STATE EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS BOARD), TO ADVANCE THE WELFARE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF AKRON AND ITS FACULTY AND STUDENTS, AND TO PROMOTE HIGH STANDARDS OF TEACHING, SCHOLARSHIP AND SERVICE.
