What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The organizations primary exempt purpose is to promote the interests of working people and their families by strengthening the labor movement through education community service and advocacy. The Council unites local unions and community partners to improve workplace conditions advance social and economic justice and support charitable initiatives that benefit the public.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The Council organized the Christmas for Families in Need Program providing holiday gifts clothing and essential items to over 80 children from union military and CASA families. Donations were collected from affiliated unions and community partners. This annual effort strengthens community bonds and reflects labors commitment to supporting working families in need.

29 The Council hosted trainings meetings and workshops to educate local union members and leaders on organizing political engagement and workers rights. Through collaboration with the Georgia AFL-CIO and the AFL-CIO Organizing Institute affiliates gained tools for effective outreach resulting in stronger regional participation and increased affiliate engagement across Coastal Georgia.
