What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Felix Rutledge Society ("the Society") is composed of graduates of the gynecologic oncology fellowship program at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. The Society strives to encourage the sharing of new developments in gynecologic oncology, stimulate original investigation in gynecological oncology and related fields, clinical investigation, discuss innovative ideas and techniques of teaching in gynecologic oncology, and promote fellowship among members.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The Society hosts an annual educational meeting for members and guests. This is typically a three-day scientific meeting attended by 75-100 health care providers and awards continuing medical education credits for attendees. The meeting is organized by members of the Society in conjunction with the Continuing Medical Education office of the host institution. Ninety-five percent of the Society's time is allocated to planning and preparing for the annual meetings.
