What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? AMERICAN LEGION PROMOTES THE GENERAL WELFARE OF TERERANS THAT SERVED IN THE U.S. ARMED FORCES AS WELL AS PROMOTING OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTH THROUGH YOUTH PROGRAMS AND SCHOLARSHIPS.
