What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Illinois Prison Project Action Fund supports lobbying for legislation and policy that reduces the size and scope of Illinois criminal legal and prison systems.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 In FY24 the Illinois Prison Project Action fund lobbied legislators on legislation related to felony murder reform mandatory supervised release reform and reform of Illinois Prisoner Review Board. The Illinois Prison Project Action Fund also worked with other criminal legal reform stakeholders in Illinois to build a coalition to advance back-end reform engaged in community education and worked the policymakers in the Governors Office Lt. Governors Office and states attorneys offices throughout the state.
