Form 990-EZ, Part III, Line (28-31) The purpose of this Association shall be to establish terms and conditions of employment for its members, to protect its members rights and personal safety, and to enforce the terms of the collective bargaining agreement. To unite fraternally and to give all moral and material aid in its power to the members composing the Association. To provide greater awareness and education to the general public in connection with the area of emergency services, including, not limited to, encouraging greater public understanding of fire safety and firefighting, instruct the youth of the district in fire safety and fire prevention, and to sponsor programs which encourage involvement in the prevention of fires. To ensure necessary arraignments are made when a Departmental funeral is in order. Upon the death of a member in good standing, the President and Secretary shall notify all Companies and Members of the details. In the event the deceased has no legal representation and leaves no person designated to take charge of his/her remains, it shall be the duty of the Trustees to officiate and see the deceased has a proper burial
