28 Alabama Arise Action members played a crucial role in securing a multi-million-dollar appropriation in the State's General Fund budget for Summer EBT, supported the passage of the Alabama Workforce Housing Tax Credit, and helped to pass a bill to improve the access defendants have to an attorney who cannot afford one. We made progress in other policy areas such as comprehensive maternal and infant health care, continued our efforts towards Medicaid expansion, and hosted legislative day to support our member-driven agenda.
