In the Zeta Phi Chapter, our brothers actively carry out this mission through high scholarship. leadership, professional development, and philanthropy. The Zeta Phi Chapter was granted tax-exempt status effective 11/24/23, via the reinstatement application process, with a corresponding IRS notification date of 4/25/24. Zeta Phi was not reestablished as a tax-exempt organization within the IRS data files until Dec 2024, thus precluding the electronic filing of the TY23 (6/30/24) on a timely basis. In addition, a TY23 extension was unable to be filed too. Our Chapter believes that the failure to file on a timely basis arose from events beyond our control ("impediment"), which made it impossible to file a timely TY23 return. Therefore, Zeta Phi is requesting that you will consider any late filing fees or penalties that may be assessed be waived due to "reasonable cause".
