What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? We hold an annual Community Celebration each year. This is the longest consistent running festival in WA state. We just held our 103rd event. We create an event for all of the local non-profit's to highlight their org's and put on small fundraisers in one weekend. There is the carnival, the saturday market vendors, all kinds of food, and different booths put on by all of our local non profits. There is also a parade, and a car show, and many, many more activities. All of which are put on by different local non-profit orgs. This is a celebration of when the dikes held and the farmers crops no longer flooded... The event is called Planters Days each year, in recognition of fact that the farmers could Plant their crops. It is a wonderful small town tradition which 3000-5000 people attend each year. We have three princesses and one of whom is crowned during the weekend as Miss Woodland for the next year. The princess sell raffle tickets to help raise funds to put this event on each year.

28 We offer our Princess's and Miss Woodland a scholarship for their efforts in selling tickets and attending meetings etc. We also give a memorial scholarship each year to a graduating senior in honor of one of our past board members. The amount of scholarships each year given can be up to $5000

Description of services provided right arrow
She is the holder of all the raffle tickets. She checks them out to the Princesses, and then collects the funds and ticket stubs and makes the deposits at the bank. The weekend of the raffle, the ticket stubs are collected into one location where we hold the drawing, and placed into the barrel for drawing. We have the police chief hold the top three prize tickets until the end of the drawing. There is usually around 100 donated prized in addition to the top 3 each year. We announce the top three that the police chief has held at the very end of the drawing, even though those tickets are drawn first. They She holds the tickets stubs for the required amount of time by the state to prove ticket sales.

Schedule G, Part III, Line 17b We use the funds generated from the raffle ticket sales to put on our large event each year. We spent more than what the ticket sales generated this year, so we also had some sponsorships and donations to make our budget this year.
