What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The purpose of this Association is to engage a broad coalition of stakeholders to develop a cost-effective framework to identify, manage, and implement water quality improvement projects to benefit the Snake River, tributaries, and related waterbodies. The Association seeks to work collaboratively and voluntarily to invest and obtain resources to implement water quality improvement projects and raise awareness for water availability and quality issues in the area. The Association seeks to implement projects that will improve water quality and the overall environmental health of the watershed. Further, the Association is a grassroots local group that seeks to promote sustainable water use, conservation, water quality, ecological resiliency, and the reduction of water conflicts.

28 The Southern Idaho Water Quality Coalition (SIWQC) is a group of partners within the Magic Valley comprised of citizens and organizations focused on improving the quality of life through enhancing water quality of the Middle Snake River ecosystem. Our approach aims to be collaborative, innovative, and far reaching. We have a vision of a Magic Valley that is still magic at the turn of the next century. SIWQC continues to focus on improved water quality in our area. We continue to work with our stakeholders to improve water quality in Southern Idaho.
