Briefly describe the organization’s mission: Arizonans for a Clean Economy is a coalition of residents and businesses who believe Arizona should lead the nation in energy independence. We educate Arizonans about the benefits of homegrown energy, mobilize supporters to advocate for clean energy development, and build durable public support for energy sources that save water and create choices for Arizonans.

	We educated the public about the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC), our state's public utility regulator. Our primary education campaign centered on informing Arizonans about the power the ACC has to set monthly utility rates and determine our state's energy rules and policies. The included both paid media strategies - short videos on social media and streaming radio ads - and a community outreach program. We also conducted research to determine the most effective messengers to deliver this information to a broad swath of Arizonans. Separately, we informed our supporters and the larger public about key decisions made by the commission that impacted current and prospective owners of rooftop solar systems. Both decisions enabled utilities to charge solar customers additional fees and pay less than fair market value for their excess energy. In both cases, we informed Arizonans about opportunities to share their thoughts with Commissioners during public comment periods and open meetings.

	The Salt River Project (SRP) is Arizona's largest public utility that provides power and water to over two million families and businesses across the Phoenix metropolitan area. SRP is governed by a largely unknown District Governing Board that sets rates and votes on major energy infrastructure investments. We raised awareness among eligible Arizona landowners about District Board's authority and provided resources for interested people to easily request their SRP ballot. Using social media advertising, text messaging and direct mail, we communicated with thousands of Arizonans and gave them information on voter eligibility, how to request a ballot, when and where to vote, and how it would impact their monthly finances. We were proud to contribute to a significant increase in voter participation compared to the 2022 District Board election.

	While regulators have a huge role to play in shaping state energy policy, many of the practical decisions about where and how to build energy projects happens at the county and local government level. In north-central Arizona, the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors was working through the process of updating their planning and zoning ordinance for energy projects. We notified local residents so they were aware the process was active, and provided opportunities for them to engage their local elected officials and share their thoughts and priorities. This program utilized social media advertising to inform residents about milestones in the process, including hearings, and key proposals and provisions crafted by county staff, the Planning and Zoning Commission, and the Board of Supervisors. We also educated county and municipal leaders about the community benefits of locally-sited projects.
