2025-04-21 1,500 Simsbury Free Library is a Section 501(c)(3) private operating foundation. The Foundation paid a grant to the Library in its 2025 tax year for interior repairs and modernization to maintain and expand the Library's capacity. This project will increase Simsbury Free Library's operations and public access. It is anticipated that these funds will affect 3,000-4,000 people annually, and enable the Library to expand its educational and community-engagement programs. Accordingly, this gift advances the core charitable purposes and mission of the Foundation.   None to the Foundation's knowledge Final reports are due in March 2026   Final reports are due back to the Foundation in March 2026. As of the time of filing this tax return, the Foundation has no reason to think the granted funds have been used for any purpose other than as originally intended. The Library agreed to various reporting and progress metrics as part of its grant-award with the Foundation, and it is the Foundation's understanding at the time of this tax return's filing that the Library has complied with all such conditions.
