UPA provides opportunities for industry members to meet and engage with each other. UPA interacts with rule-making bodies and the media to inform them about issues affecting the industry. UPA also offers in-person and online educational opportuities about the oil and gas industry. |

| Pt VI, Line 7a | Election of Members and Their Rights UPA is governed by an Executive Committee that consists of thirteen of the associations members. Each Executive Committee member serves a two-year term. One of the Executive Committee Members is the Chairman. The Chairman is the chief executive officer of UPA. Two of the Executive Committee Members are Vice Chairs. The Vice Chairs make periodic examination of UPAs expenditures and serve as Chairman in the Chairmans absence. The Chairman and the Vice Chair are UPAs officers, and each serve for a one-year term. Each year, the Chairman and a nominating committee nominate candidates for the next years Chairman and Vice Chair positions, as well as the UPA members who will serve on the Executive Committee as vacancies arise. After nomination, the Chairman appoints the next years Chairman, Vice Chair, and members of the Executive Committee. At the annual meeting of UPAs members, the entire general membership approves the appointees who will serve as the next years Executive Committee and officers. |
