What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The FBIRA was created by FBI employees to provide social, welfare, and recreational benefits for FBI employees and law enforcement partners in the Arizona area of responsibility (AOR). All activities should engender a feeling of good-fellowship and a spirit of camaraderie. To do so, the FBIRA sponsors and encourages athletic, recreational, and welfare activities, including fundraising for these activities. The FBIRA officers promise to operate the FBIRA in accordance with FBI Policy Guide 1161.

Part I, Line 10 The Phoenix FBIRA signed a memo and submitted it with a check for $1,000 to a group of Phoenix FBI employees that run a race called Baker to Vegas. The memo says "The Phoenix FBIRA is happy to support an event open to all FBI employees. We recognize Special Agents and all other staff at the FBI are welcome to compete in the Baker to Vegas event, as well as provide logistic and administrative support to the Phoenix FBI team. Many participants from many locations in the Phoenix FBI Division participate in the event; Phoenix has consistently competed for several years. Please receive our $1,000 contribution with this request to use the funds towards snacks, drinks, batteries, rental vehicles, and other purposes that will benefit the most Phoenix FBI staff equally."
Part I, Line 20 In 2025, we purchased $11,371 worth of furniture and merchandise displays for our merchandise store. During 2025 we calculated $614 worth of depreciation to reduce these "Other Assets".
